You all know how much of a fan I am of Beautycounter’s products, especially their makeup. But, recently Beautycounter has stopped selling their gorgeous eyeshadow palettes due to containing trace amounts of talc. But, don’t you worry…I have been using a clean brand this past year that doesn’t use talc. Lawless Beauty has 3 different eye shadow palettes in soft nudes that I’m loving! I wanted to show you all the shades of Lawless Beauty and why you need to go talc-free too!
Now in the era of “mask-wearing”, most days all people see of us when we’re out and about running errands is our eyes. We may as well make it worth their while, right?
I tend to favor eye shadow shades in peachy, pinky nudes since I have brown eyes. But, I have noticed how a neutral palette with brown shades really makes blue and green eyes pop. Lawless Beauty is a highly-pigmented, long-wearing, clean makeup line founded by Annie Lawless. She likes to say this is the makeup line for people who don’t want the sheer, wimpy, no-makeup, makeup. It’s for the girl who wants full-on glam!

Why You Don’t Want Talc In Your Makeup
Talc is a soft mineral used often in makeup as a filler because it creates a soft, silky texture and dilutes the pigments to be wearable. The problem is that talc and asbestos are naturally formed together. When creating beauty products, it’s often difficult to eliminate all of the asbestos. Therefore most talcs contain some asbestos if only trace amounts. But, beware of where these talcs come from too. In China, where a good many makeup palettes come from, they don’t test for asbestos. So you should avoid brands or companies that don’t test for asbestos or don’t care where they are sourcing from.
Asbestos is a known cause of lung cancer and mesothelioma. Download this free guide from Asbestos.com to see which brands (especially in children’s makeup) contain asbestos.
How I Applied The Baby One Palette
The Baby One Palette from Lawless Beauty contains 8 shades of highly pigmented color. There are countless ways you can wear them but I like to start by brushing Honey Child (Rosy Matte Brown) all over my lids with my Beautycounter All Over Brush. Next, I take Cherub (Matte Soft Berry) and apply it to the crease with my Beautycounter Crease Brush. Applying a bit of Little Doll (Light Metallic Shell) to the inner eye area always brightens up my eyes. Then I take Cozy Bundle (Matte Amber Cocoa) with my Precision Brush by Beautycounter to line under my eyes and also line the outer corners of my eyes in an upward motion. To spice things up, especially if taking this look out at night, I dab a small amount of the Baby Love (Metallic Mauvy Taupe) to the center of my lids.
I have recently purchased The Little One Eyeshadow Palette. 8 gorgeous neutral shades including two metallic shades (one gold, one bronze), would look amazing on blue eyes!
If you’re into wearing eyeshadow if even for special occasions, you may want to go talc-free. When there are great products out there without the use of talc, it makes looking your best easy and uncompromising. I am loving playing with these palettes and sometimes just swipe one color over my eyelids with some eyeliner to make them pop. And for $25 for eight gorgeous shades, I’d say it’s a no brainer.
