Inner Growth To Achieve Outer Beauty
Truth be told, I can spend all day in the bathroom. I love trying out new eye shadow palettes, styling my hair in new ways, or adding another layer of skincare to my already multi-step routine. But, is that what makes a person beautiful?
Looking put-together can definitely help with your self-confidence, but the real beauty I’m talking about has a much more transformative effect. I think that the really beautiful people have an inner peace about them, they smile with their eyes, and they see the beauty in the mundane.
You know who they are, you’ve met them before.
She’s the person who commands attention when she walks into a room not because she is egotistical and wants everyone to look at her, but because of her innate belief that the world is a friendly place. She doesn’t judge others, have a chip on her shoulder, or believe that the world is out to get her. Nope. No victim mentality here!
It’s the woman who is kind to you, celebrating all of your victories even though she is struggling with money problems, her kid is having major behavioral issues, and her husband just left her.
It’s the girl who may not have the best body, prettiest face, or the best fashion sense but people gravitate towards her because they just feel better being around her beautiful soul.
How Do You Achieve Real Beauty?
Real beauty, to me, comes from the work you put into understanding who you are. Not just which lipstick shade looks good on you, which shapes or styles compliment your figure, but really knowing your strengths, talents, and the reasons you are here. Taking a deep dive into knowing these things about yourself, is a great jumping-off point for achieving the kind of beauty that matters.
This blog began as just another clean beauty blog but has morphed into being more of a personal growth blog. Inner and Outer beauty is talked about because I think that both really matter. We all have transformations happening in our lives at different times, and we need to acknowledge how one affects the other.
Take a Listen To My Conversation with Tamera Ortegel
This week I am featured on the Stepping Into Health Podcast with my friend Tamara Ortegel. Tamara began the podcast by asking me what role “fear” had played in my life. Huge. We talked about a few pivotal moments that changed the direction of my life and how that relates to our own spiritual journeys and purpose. We also talked about Tamara’s Soul Blueprint and how fascinating the planets’ placements dictated some key elements of her life and the decisions she had to make to serve her life’s purpose. Crazy shit that I can’t make up!
What Are Some Of The Ways To Achieve Inner Growth?
As a 7 Life Path (read more here), I am constantly looking for the deeper meaning in everything. I like to look at things from a wide lens because I believe that everything is connected and there is usually a purpose for our pain. So, tools like astrology, numerology, psychology, Enneagrams, etc…are things I love to dive into. They are great tools to help put things into perspective so you can be at peace with the way your life is unfolding.
Honestly, I think we all would get along if we really understood each other’s purpose.
It goes without saying how much a tragedy, setback, or even minor disappointments can set us in a new direction. We often grow from these experiences and if we don’t, we keep running into similar situations until we figure it out.
Maturity also plays a key role in achieving inner growth. As we age we begin to understand what we’re made of, that even though we may be going through a difficult chapter, the sun will still come up tomorrow.
Spend time uncovering those things about yourself, ask for spiritual guidance from above and realize you are perfect just the way you are. Smile knowing that life is cyclical. No matter where you are on your journey, it will never remain the same. Life is constantly changing and you are the co-creator of your dreams.
Understand who you are, what gifts you bring to the world, and style the life you were born to live!
