I love fall! In September when the air turns crisp and the sun starts to sit lower in the sky, I think about BOOTS! Are you that way too? Or is it just me?
My wardrobe tends to be pretty basic. Meaning, I tend to wear things in classic shapes and neutral colors. This way it’s easy to mix and match to create new looks every season. Focusing more on accessories like shoes and bags adds interest to the outfit.
Fall shoes and bags are the best!
Some people start thinking of their fall wardrobes after Labor Day and decide which fall boots would pair nicely with them. But, because I am such a “shoe girl”, I do the opposite. In early August I start looking at fall boots and then plan my wardrobe around them.
Investing in a great leather boot makes the rest of your wardrobe look fresh. Some of the boots I have are over a decade old. Certain boot shapes like the pointed-toe knee boot are classic and will never go out of style. Mine in the picture is by Jimmy Choo. Sometimes paying up for a well-made designer brand is smart because it elevates your whole look and you can always get your soles and heels redone when needed.
Fall 2020 Boots To Covet

Python Ankle Bootie
Python ankle boots have been in style for a few years already. I don’t show them going away anytime soon. Mine are by Iro and sold out, but I have listed some similar favorite versions of the snake looking bootie.
Cowboy Boot
I currently don’t own any cowboy boots but am in love with any boots by Isabel Marant!
Isabel Marant
Isabel Marant makes cowboy boots look sexy, and with more of a chic, urban cowboy look. The heel not too high, and the soft, buttery suede will be an easy pull-on for many looks.

Knee Boot
A great knee boot is a staple of any fall wardrobe. The caramel leather boots I have are by Chloe’. These are probably a decade old so you can’t find them anymore. Here is a similar pair by Paris Texas. My gray suede boots are by Joie. Here is a similar pair by Stuart Weitzman and on sale!
Paris Texas
has a similar pair (shown below) and several more great knee-boot options. I’m loving the neutrality of the colors while making a statement. Especially the deep green!
Knee boots look great with mini skirts (which I don’t wear anymore), and why I am loving the leather knee-length shorts look! I can now justify getting a knew knee boot to go with my leather culottes or shorts.

Classic Black Dress Boot
Rugged Bottom Ankle Boot
An everyday staple in my fall wardrobe is a rugged bottom ankle boot. These are great to wear running errands and super comfy! Most of these are perfect for less than ideal weather, especially the cute Ganni recycled rubber booties! I’m especially loving the army green but they are already selling out of most sizes. The black ones are adorable too!

Final Thoughts
Boots are a fashion staple for any fall wardrobe. Even if you don’t see yourself as getting dressed up much during the upcoming months, you will be happy that you invested in a pair of classic, well-made boots. I have never regretted any of my investment boot purchases and continue to use them year after year.
