I was born with dark circles under my eyes. It’s genetic. Even when I’ve gotten my required 8-9 hours of sleep, I still need to use an under eye concealer to make me look awake.
In fact, I don’t go anywhere without at least my under eye concealer and my brow pencil. It makes a world of difference, trust me!
Concealers are the “workhorses” of makeup. The pigments are denser which is why they are good to cover up unwanted things on your face, like blemishes, scars, and age spots.
For those in my predicament of having to cover the bluish-purple circles under their eyes, you know it can be difficult to find a concealer which does the job of “concealing” without looking too “cakey” and thick.
Which is why I wanted to tell you about a new concealer that just came out that provides a medium to full coverage for eye circles and acne scars for every skin tone.
You can thank me later.
The Best Lightweight Full Coverage Creamy Concealer
I want to stress how important it is to have a concealer that is light and creamy for the delicate area under your eyes.
I used to have to use a color correcting “yellow” stick from Maybelline before I applied my concealer on top, just to neutralize the bluish-purple dark circles.
Now, I can apply just one coat of this creamy concealer under my eyes to get the job done! Boom!
Additional Benefits of Beautycounter’s Skin Twin Creamy Concealer
In addition to being able to hide my dark circles, a good creamy concealer can do so much more for my face.
If you don’t like to use foundation, but opt for a BB or CC cream to moisturize and provide some SPF coverage, you still may need to cover up a blemish or acne scar even though you don’t want the full coverage. A good medium to full coverage concealer which is buildable is your friend then.
If your jawline is starting to sag and you are starting to get some of those “marionette” lines or some broken capillaries around your nose, you need a creamy concealer to give a “smoke and mirrors” effect to smooth things out.
A medium to full coverage concealer that is 1-2 shades lighter than you skin tone can act like a highlighter when placed in the right spots on your face.
A medium to full coverage concealer can also be used as an eye makeup primer according to Christy Coleman, Beautycounter’s makeup artist, and Chief Creative Officer.
How to Apply Skin Twin Cream Concealer
On clean skin, after making sure your eye cream is fully absorbed into your skin:
- Use one side of the doe-foot applicator to brush downward and outward strokes under your eyes. Draw a horizontal line under your lash line.
- On the flip side of the doe-foot applicator, do the same to your other under-eye area. No need to re-dip the applicator into the tube.
- Blend with your fingers or the Better Blender for best results.
Bonus Ways To Use Creamy Concealer
- Use it as an eye lid primer before your eye shadow, to last all day.
- Use it as a highlighter on your brow bone, cupid’s bow (above upper lip), below lower lip to make your lips appear fuller.
- Fill in along skin folds where you see shadows, to make it appear smoother.
- Conceal acne scars and blemishes.

What Sets This Concealer Apart From The Rest
Ingredients That Benefit Your Skin
Knot Grass Extract
Your concealer should be doing much more than concealing. By having Knot Grass Extract in the formula, this concealer actually reduces fine lines and wrinkles while smoothing out the texture of the skin.
Avocado butter is very rich in fatty acids which allows the concealer to melt seamlessly into your skin.
Doe Foot Applicator
The doe foot shaped applicator allows you to get into the corners of your inner eyes without over-saturating. The perfect amount of concealer is dispensed on the doe foot. You only need to pull the applicator out of the tube one time per application because there is enough product on the applicator for both eyes. Use one side for one eye, flip over and use the other side for your other eye.
Safety Beyond Safe
Because it’s Beautycounter, I don’t have to worry about ingredient sourcing, heavy metals, parabens, or anything nasty in my concealer. They have done the work for me. Read about Beautycounter’s Safety and Sustainability right here.
Lasting Full Coverage
For someone who wears reading glasses when I work all day, I never have to touch up my under eyes throughout the day with this concealer. Once I put it on, it’s on. It dries down to a matte finish and stays put all day long.
Shade Ranges For Every Skin Tone
Most concealers offer you just a few shade options: light, medium, and dark, but Skin Twin’s Creamy Concealer offers thirteen shades! I have at least two in my beauty lab (bathroom), one to conceal under my eyes (1-2 shades lighter than your foundation) and one to match my skin tone on my face. This allows you to color correct acne scars, blemishes, or to give the appearance of smoothing out skin that has lost its elasticity.
If you need help color matching your foundation, read my post on how to do just that right here.
The Better Blender Makes Your Application Flawless
The Better Blender is a great multi-tasker. You can use it to build, buff, and blend these makeup products:
- Concealers (Creamy Concealer and Concealer Pen)
- Skin Twin Foundation
- Cream Blush
- Mattify Finishing Powder
They are made of a foam that expands when full, easy to rinse out after use.

If you’re looking for a concealer with medium to full buildable coverage, Skin Twin Creamy Concealer is for you. If you don’t need a higher pigmented concealer, the Beautycounter Concealer Pen works just fine for lighter coverage. However, the applicator with the “doe-foot” on the Cream Concealer is just easier to use. Because it’s a buildable formula and you don’t have to worry about clicking the concealer pen 25 times to dispense, the new Skin Twin Concealer Pen is worth buying.
Thirteen Shades that help minimize fine lines and wrinkles, and buildable coverage that melts seamlessly into your skin, I’d say it’s a “WIN”!
